Laing Art Gallery
The Laing Art Gallery, situated on New bridge Street, has a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts. It is free to enter but does close on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art
While the main exhibitions at the Baltic often have an admission fee, the Level 4 viewing platform is classed as a free museum and provides panoramic views of Newcastle and Gateshead. If this is your first time visiting Newcastle then a trip to the top of the Baltic Centre is an absolute must.
