BBQ season is now upon us and what better way to enjoy the sun than with some new recipes, nice food and a couple of cold drinks. If burgers are your thing then this bacon and peanut butter burger is a must try. Below you will find an ingredients list as well as a step by step guide on how to create the perfect burger.
This recipe will make 4 delicious burgers
You will need
- 455g (1lb) ground beef
- 115g mature cheddar cheese, sliced
- 135g SKIPPY® Smooth Peanut Butter
- 340g maple-cured bacon
- 4 wholemeal burger buns, split and toasted
Optional side salad
- Iceberg lettuce
- 3 tomatos
- 1 cucumber
- Organic Cashew Nuts Whole
METHOD
Step 1 – Prepare the barbecue to a medium-high heat.
Step 2 – In a large bowl, combine the beef and season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper if desired; mix gently and then mould the beef into 4 burger patties.
Step 4 – Place the patties on the BBQ and cook until they are at your desired point. Cook the bacon either on the BBQ or using your preferred method.
Step 5 – When the burger patties are almost cooked place the Skippy peanut butter into a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.
Step 6 – Place the patties on the bottom half of the buns and top each burger with 2 slices of cheese . Add your bacon.
Step 7 – Generously spread warm peanut butter on the top half of the burger buns. Place these on top of your burgers and enjoy the delicious Bacon Peanut Butter Burgers.
Enjoy with a delicious side salad topped with nuts for an extra crunch.
