If you are looking for a lodge with a hot tub in Devon then let me recommend Crealy Theme Park and Resort. If you don’t like theme parks, rides, or even kids that much then don’t let the name put you off as you don’t have to use the theme park to stay here. Plus, from where you are you won’t even be able to hear or see the rides either. Of course, if you are a theme park lover, or are looking for a family holiday in Devon then Crealy Theme Park, and the new addition of Sooty Land, is an added bonus. But before you make up your mind one way or the other here is everything yo need to know about the lodges as well as our review from our recent stay.

How many people do the lodges with hot tubs sleep?
There are eight different sets of lodges all with hot tubs, sleeping from 4 up to 8 depending on which one you pick. If your party is bigger than 8 then speak to the staff when booking and ask for two or more lodges next to each other.
What amenities do the lodges come with?
All of the lodges with hot tubs come with a fully fitted kitchen, bed linen, towels and central heating. Making it feel like a home away from home with the added benefit of a hot tub! The only appliance that they do not have is a washing machine, however if you do need to wash any clothes during your stay then there is a laundrette facility situated in the glamping area that you can pay to use.
The lodges also come with a designated parking space but there is ample room should you need to bring more than one car.
Tell me about the hot tub
The hot tub is, of course, the main attraction and reason for booking the lodges. They are everything you will want them to be. Ours was plenty big enough for 4 people to sit in comfortably without touching each other or feeling too close. They are already set up when you arrive so you do not need to do anything to them apart form remove the lid and jump right in. There is a control panel on the side that you can use to start the bubbles and turn up the temperature should it drop slightly.
The hot tubs are situated on the decking and are accessible via the main living area. Although they are not completely shielded they are surrounded by frosted glass and you are low enough that the neighbouring lodges can’t see you, unless they really strain over the sides of their decking.
The view from our hot tub was beautiful, not a ride in site, just lovely scenery and Devonshire hills, the perfect place to unwind after a day at Sooty Land with the kids. The hot tubs even have cup holders built in making it even easier to enjoy your glass of bubbles watching the sun set.
It is worth mentioning that the hot tubs are cleaned daily. This is great for peace of mind just don’t get a fright if you suddenly see someone on you decking fishing about in your hot tub like we did!
Our review of the Crealy lodge with hot tub in Devon
We staying in a Meadow View Lodge with hot tub that sleeps 4.
We arrived at Crealy on the Friday, passing the theme park on the way. Check in was super easy and the staff were lovely and as soon as our lodge was ready we were given clear instructions on how to find it.
On the way to our lodge we noticed that there were several sections that we passed through, including the camp site and the glamping area, before we arrived at the other, much quieter side, where we then found a number of smaller cul-de-sac style areas for the different lodges. This set up makes the hot tub lodges feel much more secluded and private and with the added distance we certainly couldn’t tell we were staying near a theme park.
When we entered our lodge we could see that is was very clean and had all the mod cons that we needed, including a kettle, microwave and the all important dishwasher. The rooms were all spacious, apart from the second bedroom that is perfect for children but maybe not two adults, especially if they don’t already know each other! The master bedroom was the most impressive, lots of room and an en suite with a shower.
There is an open plan living area that includes the kitchen, a dinning table and the sofa with plenty of floor space for 4 people to move around and relax easily. This area then leads on to the decking where there is a second table, perfect for outside dinning in the warmer months and, of course, the hot tub.
Overall we found the Meadow lodge with hot perfect for our weekend stay for two adults and two children. It was clean, spacious and well situated. We made the most of the amenities, including the hot tub and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a lodge with a hot tub in Devon, even if you do not want to use the theme Park. Although I also recommend that you do as that was great fun too.
As an added bonus there is also a shop and restaurant on site if you do not want to cook in the lodge as well as evening entertainment over in the park should you wish to par take in some bingo or watch a show whilst the kids play in the giant indoor play area.
As far as lodges with hot tubs go this was one of the best.
If you do book and are looking to explore the area then you will not be disappointed as there are loads of things to do in Devon.
