Our review of the Origin Hybrid Pro
The mattress arrived compressed and rolled in a box. Although as a king size it was still relatively heavy it was much easier to get into the house and then up the stairs to the bedroom than it would have been if it came as a full size mattress, which was a big relief.
Once we had it in the bedroom and ready to unpack I was impressed with the simple instructions printed on the box that clearly show you the 4 step process to unboxing it effectively and safely.
On the inside of the box you will also find a little manual which tells you more about the Hybrid Pro mattress and how to care for it, which is a nice little extra too.
Getting the mattress out of the box was easier than I expected it to be, a bit of pulling and tipping and it was out in no time.
We then carefully lifted it onto our bed and removed the outer layers of plastic wrap and watched it inflate to its full size in a matter of seconds.
Once fully settled we realised it was noticeably higher than our previous mattress at 31 cm in height, which actually makes our bed look nicer.
I loved the look of the mattress on the bed and although I know it will be covered by bedding it’s still nice to know that it does look stylish and well made, even if no one else will see it.
As soon as it was ready we couldn’t wait to test it out and even from just placing our hands on it we could tell that it had a lovely firm feel with some bounce to it.
The first night was lovely, it was firm but not too firm and we both agreed we had a brilliant night’s sleep. However, I would say that the subsequent nights have actually been even better as our bodies have started to adjust to the new mattress.
Both my husband and I suffer with back pain and so far we have woken up feeling great, nicely rested and pain free, which is a huge bonus.
