Things to do in Birmingham between Christmas and New Year

That time between Christmas and New Years Eve is a weird one. All sense of days, time and routine go out of the window and although some relaxation is nice it can also become quite a lonely, boring and even depressive time which is why it is a great idea to be pro active and get some plans put in place in advance. Here are just a few things to do in Birmingham between Christmas and New Year.

For the family ……

Cadburys world

For those of you with kids, or just a love of chocolate then Cadburys world reopens on 27th December at 9.30am. A great way to spend a few hours with the family before heading home to eat all the selection box treats you’ve just been learning about.

Catch a pantomine

We love a good panto here and if you’re in Birmingham and fancy watching one too then head to the Birmingham Hippodrome where you can see Alison Hammond star in Jack and the Beanstalk right up until January 28th.

Candlelight Christmas Concert

If you fancy something a little different and aren’t all Christmas-ed out then grab some tickets for the Candlelight Christmas concert at Birmingham Cathedral and listen to a string quartet play some Christmas classics like Little drummer boy.
