Imagine a place where you can see real airplanes and spaceships up-close! That’s what the Museum of Flight is all about. It’s the largest air and space museum in the world, with over 175 aircraft and spacecraft on display.
You can even sit in the cockpit of a real airplane and pretend to be a pilot! You can also learn about the history of flight, from the first airplanes to the latest spacecraft. Try out flight simulators and experience what it’s like to fly a plane. Also, visit the Kids’ Flight Zone where you can play in a mini airplane and learn about how airplanes fly.
27/ Play in the Woodland Park Zoo
The Woodland Park Zoo is one of the most impressive zoos I’ve ever visited. It’s situated in stunning woodland grounds, making it a lovely place to stroll around while also housing an incredible array of animals. Grizzly bears, tigers, and rhinos are just a few of the highlights.
I would suggest devoting at least half a day to exploring this zoo. It was one of our favorite activities to do with kids in Seattle. You can enjoy Zoomazium, wildlife, play, and learning at Camp Crockett!

The Pacific Science Center is a top family attraction in Seattle with plenty of interactive exhibitions to engage kids in the world of science. It also includes a planetarium, butterfly house, two IMAX screens, laser dome and VR exhibits.
Like MoPop, the building itself is worth seeing, especially the huge arches around a courtyard fountain. Perfect for all ages, it originated as the U.S. Science Pavilion during the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair.
30/ Tidepool at Golden Gardens Park
When the tide goes out, a whole new world comes alive at Golden Gardens Park. You can find crabs, fish, sea snails, sea cucumbers, sea anemones, and sea stars. It’s like a real-life aquarium right on the beach! This is a perfect activity for kids in Seattle because it’s fun and educational.
You’ll learn about all the different sea creatures that live in Puget Sound. And you’ll get to touch some of them too! Also, you might see trains go by! The trains run along the tracks right next to the beach. It’s like two adventures in one!
