If you are an avid follower of our blog you will have noticed that we have been talking about festivals quite a lot over the last few weeks as we have started to plan out our summer. Instead of heading off abroad this year we have decided to do a bit of a UK tour and check out a number of family friendly festivals, the Coombe Weekender being one of them.
Coombe weekender will be taking place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August at the 12th-century Cisterian Coombe Abbey and running over the expansive grounds in Coventry. It is gearing up to be as as diverse as the local area with acts running through funk, soul, disco, indie and pop music.
If you visit on the Saturday you will be treated to performances from
The Libertines
Tom Greenan
Circa Waves
Reverend and the Makers
Faithless
Crystal Waters and
Jamie Ward to name just a few.
Whereas if you, like us, you attend the family friendly day on the Sunday you will be able to dance away to
MK Marc Kinchen
Sigala
Kelis
Crazy P Soundsystem,
Joey Negro and Braddah as well as many others.
Or of course you could opt to do the whole weekend and even camp too. With day tickets start at £29.50 and weekend at £70 with family and VIP tickets also available it is one of the most affordable festivals we have found this summer.
As well as all the amazing music you can enjoy there will also be offstage entertainment will be available in the way of day time activities including raver tots, a food village and bars a plenty creating a friendly event for everyone.
